About the job

As Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the B2B and Wholesale channels. Your efforts will help us develop our international sales through wholesalers, agents, distributors, and marketplaces.

Your impact goes beyond just generating revenue: At Sapph, we are building a strong brand and an e-commerce-driven organization. B2B and Wholesale channels are key to grow our business and develop our brand.

In this role, you will be our first colleague to focus entirely on the B2B and Wholesale channels. This makes it a versatile role, and we are looking for someone who is both willing and able to take on a lot of responsibility. As we grow, your team will grow as well. You will work closely with the leadership team and the E-commerce team.

On a daily basis, your responsibilities will be divided into three areas:

  1. Wholesale & Agent Management

    • Lead relationships with agents and distributors across regions.

    • Negotiate terms, exclusives, phasings, and collaborations.

    • Secure contracts and ensure execution against trading conditions.

    • Recruit, onboard, and manage in-house wholesale staff.

  2. Hybrid Marketplace & B2C-B2B Integration

    • Align with buyers at major accounts (e.g., Zalando, Wehkamp) to establish forward orders plus marketplace presence.

    • Implement hybrid replenishment models where wholesale and marketplace complement each other (e.g., backfilling stock when wholesale runs out).

    • Ensure consistent brand visibility even when buyers’ budgets limit wholesale orders.

  3. Data & Growth Responsibility

    • Own top-line wholesale turnover.

    • Gather and analyse sell-through data from agents and accounts to inform planning.

    • Identify new market opportunities and negotiate 3PL or distributor arrangements as needed.

    • Sustain commercial performance across geographies and channels without damaging relationships.

About you

  • You have a proven track record in wholesale and marketplace management

  • Strong negotiation skills with agents, distributors, and major retailers

  • Experience managing contracts, exclusives, and trading terms.

  • Commercial acumen: understands margins, pricing, and turnover targets

  • A relevant global contact book

  • Ability to analyse sell-through data and translate into action.

  • Strong relationship manager — able to push accounts without damaging partnerships.

  • Familiarity with hybrid wholesale/marketplace models.

  • Capable of managing networks of staff, agents, and distributors simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English. Dutch is a plus.
