About the job

Of course, as a finance manager, you are fundamentally responsible for managing our financial administration. But your impact goes far beyond accounting.

You are the financial conscience of our organization. At Sapph, we are building a strong foundation with software tools for our commercial, logistical, and financial processes. This foundation allows you to create financial and operational dashboards and reports. Based on your insights in our performance, we are able to make the business decision every single day.

As a finance manager, you are our first 'finance' colleague. This is a role where we are looking for someone who is capable and willing to be fully involved in the execution. As we grow, your team will also grow.

On a daily basis your responsibilities include:

• Managing our complete financial administration

• Preparing monthly reports, overseeing P&L accounts, cash flow reporting and forecasting

• Managing quarterly and annual closings

• Creating, facilitating and monitoring annual budgets and long-term financial plans in collaboration with

• Monitoring performance and progress through KPIs

• Responsible for all finance related tasks like reviewing and approving invoices, VAT declarations, Double-checking and executing weekly payments, our payroll etc.

• Maintaining systematic internal controls

• Acting as the external contact for all finance-related matters

• And anything else that comes with building a fast-growing business

About you

• You have at least 8 years of experience as a Finance professional

• You hold a completed finance degree at Bachelor level or higher

• You’re comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, where you balance strategy and hands-on execution

• You’re approachable, transparent, detail-oriented and take full ownership

• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and Dutch
